Role Models

Role models are very important, especially when they are famous. Famous role models give kids hope that they can be whatever they put their minds to. When kids look up to people, they idolize them. They watch their every move, and know almost everything about them. Being watched all of the time, role models have to watch what they say and do. If they say the wrong thing, it might influence someone to do something that isn't right. That's why rappers have to watch what they say, because they have a lot of power.

Having a role model makes kids want to do something with their lives, so that they won't disappoint them. I think that it is best for a child to have a role model that is close to them; such as a family member, teacher, or coach.
When these types of people are role models, that have a bigger effect on kids, because they see the kids everyday. When kids have a chance to talk to their role models everyday, it keeps their mind on what's important in life. Troubled kids are a prime example of kids who have the wrong role models. Whether they want to take on the responsibility or not, but role models have an effect on whether kids make something out of themselves, or they just waste away their lives.

Another way a role model that is close to young people is important, is because they have a chance to influence the type of decisions young people make. If a role model explains to a young person a type of situation in which they were in, and how they dealt with the situation could definitely help us as young people. So when those type of situations approach us, we will know how to handle them, and what will happen if we chose the wrong decision.
