Someone I both Fear and Admire
I totally admire my grandmother, but I also fear her. My grandmother is a woman of God who knows how to stand her ground. She isn't afraid of anything. When some older women walk by a group of men who are black, they get scared and hold their purses tight, not my grandmother. My grandmother walks by and looks everyone in the eye and says, "Hi, how are you young men doing. I hope God's blessed you." Sometimes she might even hold a conversation with them. Believe it or not, most of the young men that she talks to respect her, or speak to her when they see her in the street. She loves God, and is not afraid of anything, because she knows that the Lord has her back. Loving God as much as she does, my grandmother loves people. She would rather do for someone else rather than doing for herself. My grandfather always tries to get her to buy herself things, but she just spends her money on other people.
I definitely fear my grandmother. When she gets angry, she is dangerous. She doesn't curse or anything, but she threatens pretty well. My grandmother rarely gets angry. She loves life and she tries not to let things bother her. The event that really aggravates her, is when her grandchildren are acting up in school, or when they disobey their parents. My grandmother sits us down, and talks to us when we do wrong, and she tells us things that have happened to her, in which we can relate to. It is really easy to talk to my grandmother, because she has been through so much, and she lets me know things, to that I won't have to go through them when I get older. I know I am suppose to say how I fear her, but I admire her more than anything.
